I would love to serve as a Pournaghshband GISO Executive Board’s member. I have been a part of GISO for the last two years and I am beyond proud of being part of this organization and all of the amazing members. My goal as the Executive Board’s member would be to elevate student’s college experience through social opportunities, outdoor adventures, and overall increasing the energy and happiness. We will make long-lasting friendships as we get along to explore, to relax, and just simply enjoying the life and having fun.
I am a third year undergraduate student at Georgia Tech, studying Biomedical engineering. I am a very adventurous person and have a desire for exploring new places. I am an avid sports follower/player specially soccer, volleyball, football, and futsal. I am a huge Taylor Swift fan and I enjoy watching TED Talks and The Ellen show. I believe I am a great candidate for GISO Executive Board because of my extensive experience as being a leader in Student Government Association(SGA) of my college. I have a passion for reaching the 4 main goals of GISO. Also, my character allows me to work well and communicate with others to contribute to team efforts. I would strive to advance GISO, and I feel that my previous experiences have proven that.

Mahshid Soltani is an Instructor in University of West Georgia. She got her Bachelor degree in Engineering Science (Mathematics-Mechanical Engineering) from University of Tehran, Iran in 2014 . She moved to the United States in 2015 and got her Masters in Applied Mathematics from University of West Georgia.
I am a proud alumni of University of Tehran, spent gold time of my life there and experienced a lot. It was an honor to be a part of different student groups and organizations such as :scientific association of students of Engineering Science and Islamic association of students which isthe oldest and biggest student association that gathered students for different reasons and issues and made a huge difference during the years.
Be a part of different groups brought me experience of holding out many scientific and cultural and political events . Working with students as a teacher assistant and tutor is chance of teaching and learning, not only in scientific aspects but also in improving social skills,
In a very short period of my life I had a chance to be a part of an insurance company and that opened a door to another world and drag out some particular skills of mine.
Last year when I came here, instead of having a hard time feeling homesick(!), I was overwhelmed by the presence of these people… Now, it is my turn 🙂 Besides, there supposed to be some seats for the art students on this board, its a growing society here in Georgia…
I’m an MFA student at SCAD Atlanta, studying Animation. I used to be the president of Science Association of Tabriz University of Arts and a member of this organization at Tehran University of Arts. Since this is a proved fact that people as a team with the mutual objectives can pass the limits and make the (most of!) impossible possible, I decided to be a part of it. What can make me feel better other than being like the ones that kept their eyes on me and helped me while ago.
